Consulting
We enhance institutional capacity by providing business services to private and development sector organisations in the area of corporate governance, strategy development, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), communications, branding, resource mobilisation and training.
Our services
We work with nonprofits, private businesses and government agencies. Every assignment is shaped around the organisation and the people it serves.
Local investment for local change
Every service we deliver and every revenue earned is directly invested in grassroots education and youth development in Africa. When you choose us, you help expand access to education and unlock opportunities for children and young people. Get exceptional value for your investment, and be part of lasting change.
COAL uses a fee-for-service model, offered through consulting and the COAL Bookstore, to cover programme and operational costs.
Who you work with
Our consultancy services are delivered by COAL's executive volunteers: international development experts in monitoring, evaluation and learning, communications, finance and policy. They are supported by our project staff and guided by a Board of Trustees with multidisciplinary expertise.

Avoidable Deaths Network (ADN) and COAL have successfully collaborated on two projects, with ADN also benefiting from a consultancy service provided by COAL to develop our MEL framework for the International Awareness Day for Avoidable Deaths (IAD4AD) and designing the brand for our Reproductive Health Kit. We deeply value our partnership with COAL, which has been a significant learning opportunity for ADN. Looking ahead, we are enthusiastic about our continued long-term collaboration, aiming for impactful work in Sub-Saharan Africa.
